Our mission is to craft distinctive wines from cold-hardy Minnesota grapes, honoring our land, our seasons, and the resilience that defines the North. We strive to produce high-quality, expressive wines that showcase and create a welcoming wine experience rooted in Minnesota’s landscape, where locally grown grapes, thoughtful winemaking, and genuine hospitality come together.
Named for our founder and winemaker, Jack Bernens, Jack’s Vino reflects his creative and easygoing spirit. Marquette grapes and American oak coalesce to produce aromas of black cherry and tobacco that lead into dark fruit flavors with earthy spice and a touch of pepper. An approachable and crowd-pleasing medium-bodied wine with balanced acidity and soft tannins. Bright, relaxed, and well-suited for any occasion.
Named for the headwaters of the Mississippi River, Lake Itasca, this wine highlights the fresh, clean character of the cold-hearty Itasca grape. Citrus and pear aromas dance to create lively flavors of melon and peach with light mineral notes and a smooth, dry finish. Bright acidity keeps it energetic without overwhelming the palate. Headwaters is a versatile choice for any occasion.
Deep Current has become a favorite in our lineup for its bold expression of northern-grown Frontenac. Indulge in the aromas of dark cherry, plum, and black currant, which create a complex layered fruit flavor with subtle spice and a hint of chocolate. French Oak completes this full-bodied wine with a bright acidity and a smooth, lasting finish that shows both depth and balance. A natural choice for sharing with friends.
Prairie Blossom is emblematic of the bright, aromatic side of La Crescent. Citrus, stone fruit, and light floral aromas develop into vibrant pineapple and apricot flavors with a hint of honey. Crisp with a clean, smooth finish – this wine is anything but one-dimensional. Prairie Blossom is bright, refreshing, and perfect for warm-weather sipping.
Twilight brings together the grapes of Frontenac Gris and Frontenac Blanc for a remarkably complex wine with a distinctive color. Citrus aromas hit the nose while notes of pineapple, apricot, and mango coat the palate to create an experience only Twilight can provide. Acidity is well-balanced with a slight sweetness. Versatile enough for quiet dinners or casual get-togethers.
Wild Rose blends Frontenac Gris and Itasca grapes with a smaller contribution from Frontenac, La Crescent, and Petite Pearl varieties for a complex, refreshing rosé. Breathe in aromas of strawberry and citrus which seamlessly transition into flavors of pear, apple, and cherry completed by gentle bubbles. Light-bodied with bright acidity and a crisp finish that is full of life.
