In 2011, Jack and his son, John, planted their first vines on a small piece of land in Minnesota, driven by a curiosity for grape growing and a passion for creating something meaningful from the land. What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession as they discovered the unique potential of cold-hardy grape varieties to produce exceptional wines that reflect the character of the North.

Together, Jack and John spent years learning, experimenting, and refining their craft—embracing Minnesota's challenging climate and the resilience it demands. As the vineyard grew, so did their vision.

Today, Thicket Hill Vineyard is dedicated to crafting distinctive wines from Minnesota-grown grapes.
